MADISON SURG. TECH WALL MURAL
BWBR Internship
This past summer, BWBR worked with Madison Surgery Technical College on a renovation. Along with these redesigned interior spaces, the school wanted to include a mural on the wall entering the OR wing. For this mural, they wanted to include the digital art created by one of their alumni, Dani, and combine it with our design skills to create a composition. After multiple meetings with Dani and the Head of the school, we hit the ground running.
This was a project I got to start with a blank slate on. Our client wanted the mural to represent a feeling of comfort and community while still making it apparent that this is the OR section of the college.
We grabbed inspiration from murals and artwork online, and I then used these pieces to come up with a few different concepts for the mural. I used a combination of the artwork from Dani, and artwork that we found.
By the end of the summer, I had to leave this project unfinished because my semester was starting. Coming home this winter, I’ve gotten to see the final artwork! This project is so special to me because of how the final piece was taken from a concept that I created! And now it's going to be a mural on the wall for people to see! This is so awesome, I can’t wait to see the final mural in person when it is installed.
