The Suite Escape
This semester, I was honored to be a part of the Art Direction Committee for the Iowa State University Fashion Show. The Fashion Show (TFS) is one of the largest student-ran fashion shows in the nation. There are 16 committees of students who work together to create a show of a lifetime in 4 months.
Our theme this year was "The Suite Escape" This was inspired by the retro, motel style we all know and love, but with a modern twist. Our guest designer this year was Steve Madden! While showing off the best designs created by students at Iowa State, there was also a portion of the show which highlighted Steve Madden's new and unreleased line.
As a member of the Art Direction Committee, I was responsible for helping to create graphics for the program, posters, social media posts, merchandise, etc. There was also a huge window display installed on campus to help advertise the event. It ended up being a sold to show with over 2,600 tickets sold!
Being a part of this committee was truly amazing, and I plan on joining next year as well, and applying to be a committee director for Art Direction!
